چکیده
We describe the Wearable Sensory Apparatus (WSA) System, which has been implemented and verified in accordance with relevant standards. It comprises Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), real-time wireless data transmission over Ultrawideband (UWB), a Master Unit several IMU dongles forming Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN). The WSA is designed for, but not restricted to, wearable robots. paper focuses on topology of communication network, hardware, organization firmware. experimental evaluation incorporates confirmation timing using supply current profile, measurements related to determining less error prone position master device backpack, quality transfer real environment scenario, presence other microwave signals, an example raw signals during human walking. Placement top backpack was found be prone, than 0.02% packet loss for all devices placed different body segments. did change significantly public buildings or street. There no impact Wi-Fi bands transfer. hardware firmware passed conformance testing certified lab. Most importantly, performed reliably laboratory clinical tests exoskeletons prostheses.

Google Glass has potential to be a real-time data capture and annotation tool. With professional sports as a use-case, we present a platform which helps a football coach capture and annotate interesting events using Google Glass. In our implementation, an interesting event is indicated by a predefined hand gesture or motion, and our platform can automatically detect these gestures in a video wi...
متن کاملAn oscillator-based smooth real-time estimate of gait phase for wearable robotics
This paper presents a novel methodology for estimating the gait phase of human walking through a simple sensory apparatus. Three subsystems are combined: a primary phase estimator based on adaptive oscillators, a desired gait event detector and a phase error compensator. The estimated gait phase is expected to linearly increase from 0 to 2π rad in one stride and remain continuous also when tran...

The goal in wearable rehabilitation is to restore the lost functionality of the body by rebuilding the sensory-motor link. This may be achieved through a replication, in an artificial or robotic system, of the physiotherapy methods employed by human experts. These methods are typically focused on physical manipulation. We suggest that a lower reliance on manipulation, combined with affective to...

متن کاملWearable Sensory System for Robotic Prosthesis
The paper presents a wearable sensory system aimed at tracking of motion parameters and estimation of kinematic data of the wearer for use in controlling active lowerlimb ortho-prostheses. The sensory system comprises inertial and magnetic measurement units (IMUs) attached to body segments and sensorized insoles worn inside sneaker shoes. Through sensory fusion, the IMUs data is used to produce...
